At Falls Baptist Church, we believe in the power of individual and corporate prayer.  In Matthew 18:19-20, Jesus Christ says,

“Again, I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

Over the past years, God has been strengthening our church in the matter of prayer.  There is much that we still need to learn, but we are thankful for all that God has done.  We believe that corporate prayer meetings need not be dull and lifeless, because God has promised us His presence every time that we are gathered together.  Prayer, accessing the power of God, is what moves a church forward.

Our church has many different opportunities for prayer…

24-hour, 7 day a week, prayer chain

In 2007, our church began a prayer chain in which at least one member of our church is praying every hour of every week.  Through this ministry, over 200 of our members have had the opportunity to pray for an hour every week for the church.  God has greatly used the prayer chain.

Weekly Revival Prayer Meeting

Each Saturday night from 7-9 p.m., our people meet together to call on God for revival.

Monthly Revival Prayer Meeting

Since the summer of 2007, when an “Urgent Call to American Churches for a National Symphony of Prayer” went forth, our church has met at least once a month to seek God for an extended period of time.  Normally, about seven hours are set aside on a Saturday for prayer and fasting.

Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting

Prayer is an essential part of our Wednesday evening service, as the whole church is assembled.  God has stirred many hearts during these important times of prayer.
