The youth societies at Falls Baptist Church are designed to help foster a single-mindedness in Christian young people for service to Jesus Christ in His cause for His glory.  This is accomplished through individual encouragement and accountability in basic spiritual disciplines and through ministry opportunities in “societies.”

Sunday School

On Sunday mornings, the teens meet in small group Bible studies to learn God’s Word.

Teens Alive

Sunday nights, at 5:04 p.m., our youth group meets to hear a practical Bible message from Youth Division Leader David Rains or a society leader.  During this time, the young people have opportunities to minister in music and challenge one another.  Teens Alive is the important meeting time for the youth group each week.

Leadership Training

On Wednesday nights, at 6:30 p.m., our teens are encouraged to be leaders through various types of meetings.  From Junior High through Senior High, each young person is exposed to teaching, practical training, and opportunities for leadership.

Throughout the year, our teens receive opportunities to be involved in the youth group’s intramural sports program.  The teen societies compete against each other in flag football, volleyball, basketball, wallyball, and soccer.  The sports program occurs on Friday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. with some playoff/championship games on Saturday afternoons.

Bible Quizzing

Bible memory is a very important part of the life of many of our teenagers.  Each month the young people quiz on specific passages of Scripture.  Each quiz covers about four chapters.

Monthly Activities

A variety of monthly activities take place throughout a year.  Class, society, and youth group activities provide our teenagers with an opportunity for fun and fellowship.

Almost every month, Junior or Senior High young people enjoy a singspiration after the Sunday evening service.  Singspirations are typically held in a church member’s home and include singing, testimonies, a short challenge, and delicious food.

Mondays, at 3:30 p.m., our young people go out into the community to give the good news of salvation.  Throughout the year, our youth group hosts specific outreach events for the teens of our community.

Youth Development Camp:

At the beginning of each summer, our church runs a Youth Development Camp for our teenagers.  The focus of this camp is to develop the entire person.  Rigorous physical exercise, intense musical training, practical leadership sessions, and powerful preaching, and other exciting elements make up this two-week camp.  Part of the camp takes place at Green Lake Camp and Conference Center in Green Lake, Wisconsin.
