Pastor Wayne Van Gelderen, Jr.

Wayne Van Gelderen, Jr. was born in Miami, Florida, and raised in Michigan, Colorado, and Illinois. Wayne graduated cum laude, receiving a B.A. in Bible in 1975, and an M.A. in Bible in 1977. He was married in 1975 to Miss Beverly Blanton of East Point, Georgia.


They have six children: Elizabeth, married to Stephen Zempel; Wayne III; Stephen, married to Jill; Anna Grace, married to Donald Overmiller; Daniel, married to Allyssa; and Mary Faith, married to Jesse Williams.  Pastor and Mrs. Van Gelderen are also thankful that the Lord has given them eight grandchildren: Hannah Lynn, Stephen, Jr., Caleb, Lydia, Kayla, John, EmmaLee, and Brianna. 


In 1977, Wayne joined the staff of Marquette Manor Baptist Church as Youth Pastor and assistant to his father. On September 1, 1986, Wayne was called to be Pastor of Falls Baptist Church in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. At that time, he was Co-Pastor with his father, and had served nine years at Marquette Manor Baptist Church. During his last five years at Marquette Manor, the church had doubled in size and organizational structure.


Under the leadership of Wayne Van Gelderen, Falls Baptist Church has also grown. Several hundred members have been trained to serve the Lord and are involved in the church’s small group ministry. Also, Falls Baptist Academy High School and Baptist College of Ministry and Theological Seminary have been started during Pastor Van Gelderen’s time at Falls Baptist Church.


Presently, Pastor Van Gelderen serves on the boards of Baptist World Mission, Fundamental Baptist Fellowship, Camp Joy, Hidden Treasure Christian School, Wisconsin Fellowship of Baptist Churches, and Christ for Ireland.
